It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother and Uncle, Andy Schaedel, at the age of 53.

Andy was born in Lynn Lake, MB, the fourth and youngest child of Hans and Inge Schaedel. He faced many challenges physically, developmentally and health wise from birth onwards. Andy’s parents and siblings were unwavering in their love and support for him.

Andy spent his adulthood living at the Harmony Centre for Community Living in Balmertown, ON. His amazing caregivers there allowed him to live in comfort and dignity, providing him with the specialized care and love he needed. He enjoyed music, car rides, beach trips, visits with his siblings and most of all coffee.

Andy was predeceased by his mother, Inge, in 2003; his father, Hans, in 2022 and his nephew, Zachary, in 2016. Surviving Andy are his siblings, Liz (Mike), Hans and Chris and his nephews and nieces, Nick, Pam, Sophie and Alex. He also leaves his Harmony Centre family to mourn his passing.

Visitation and service will be held at Red Lake Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Visitation will take place from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will take place at a later date at the Red Lake Cemetery.
