Anna Johannesson of Red Lake passed away on November 10, 2013.
Anna is survived by her husband David, and children Gianna, Jon and Makail, her brothers Johnny and Domenico Dodic, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Anna was born and raised in Red Lake. After graduating, she left Red Lake at the age of 18 to attend hair-dressing school in Brantford, Ontario. She returned to Red Lake in 1980 and opened her own business, Cappelli Studio. She continued to run this successful business for over 30 years.
Anna and David were married in 1989, and after 24 years of marriage and three wonderful children, Anna left her family with love that will last a lifetime.
Anna loved to cook and hosted memorable family gatherings. She also enjoyed gardening, walking and painting.
Words cannot express the loss that her family and friends are feeling. She will forever be remembered for her remarkable and selfless generosity. Anna's unwavering commitment to helping others touched everyone deeply. The love that she had for her family will always live on.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 1 pm at the Red Lake District High School with Reverend Canon Terry McNear officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date.
