Chris
Pimblott
Sep 25, 1948 — Jul 28, 2026
Chris Pimblott, Pimmer, passed away the morning of July 28, 2026 at the age of 77.
To say Chris was a unique man would be an understatement. He was complicated, unapologetic, and lived life strictly on his own terms. He had no patience for sugarcoating the truth and famously insisted he never wanted to be remembered as a saint - just as himself, plain and simple.
He was a man of distinct character who left an undeniable mark on everyone who crossed his path. He grew up in post-War Manchester causing mischief and mayhem, often at the expense of his older brother. In his mid-teens, he began playing the sport that would define and consume a large part of his life - hockey. In 1975, he immigrated to Canada with his first wife Janet for the first of many “little adventures”.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his children, Jennifer (Len) & Scott (Ashley); his stepchildren, Brian (Tannis), Kevin (Kristen), Barry (Brynn), Caitlyn (Kevin), Michael (Cheryl), & Jacqueline (Aaron); and his grandchildren - Lily, Robyn, Andrew, Abigail, Elisabeth, Kimberly, Jared, Nathan, Gavin, Julia, Tanner, Paige, Jade, Hadley, and Madden; and his inlaws. He is predeceased by his parents, Leslie & Marjorie, his brother John, and his second wife Margaret. He will be remembered fondly by his extended hockey family and many, many good friends.
Cremation has taken place and in accordance with his nature, a Celebration of Life will be held at his regular haunt, The Balmer Hotel, at a later date.
