Dwaine Dupont, 63, of Balmertown, Ontario passed away suddenly on Jan. 7, 2016, while on vacation in Dominican Republic with his family.
Dwaine was born in Red Lake on Nov. 15, 1952. He attended RLDHS and graduated in 1972. He graduated from Red River College in 1974 with a degree in electrical technology.
Dwaine married his soulmate,Jennie Litterer on Oct. 6, 1972. They were married for over 43 years.
Dwaine worked for many years at Goldcorp, as an electrician, supervisor and recently electrical planner. He and Jennie loved to travel and most of all, loved being grandparents.
Dwaine is survived by his wife, Jennie, daughters Christy (Robert) Rose, Erin (Neal) Richardson, grandchildren Justin, Addison, Lucas and Jace,brothers Garry (Kathy) Dupont, Tom Dupont, sister Donelda (Reinhard) Sedlacek, nephews Chris and Adam Dupont, Neil Sedlacek and niece Tracey Carpenter.
Dwaine is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Bruno and nephew, Eric Dupont.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18th at 1 pm in the Red Lake Royal Canadian Legion.
