Obituary

It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of a beloved husband, wonderful father, devoted grandfather and a heroic great grandfather Frank Joseph Moskwa. With his wife by his side his fight has come to an end. Frank was born in Prawda Manitoba on March 1, 1924, he moved to Red Lake in 1943 and met the woman of his dreams Nettie Zawerucha , they got married on June 22, 1946 and started a family. Frank built his family home where he raised his family and lived their whole life. He stayed at his home till his battle with cancer was over. Frank leaves behind his wife Nettie Moskwa, his daughter Lorraine Gauthier(Gilbert) grandchildren Tonya, Michael (Kim), Natasha (Jonathan) , Denys (Mel) , Noele and Paul (Michelle) , great grandchildren Cody, Khyle, Emily, Kai and Mason and his brother Stan, Walter and sister Jean. He is predeceased by his mother and father his beloved son Roger Moskwa and many other family and friends not to forget man's best friend Trixie. He will be missed by so many and the emptiness in our hearts will never be replaced or filled! Frank was a hard and conscientious worker with a heart of gold, he worked in the bush, Midland Fruit and then worked at hard metals for the rest of his career . Franks favorite place to be was in Red Lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed so many things in life such as fishing, building things, spending time at the lake with his family, telling stories about the good old days, playing crib, spending time with animals and starting unfinished tasks. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 10 am in St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church with Father Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12 from 7 to 9 pm with a vigil service at 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, St. John the Apostle mass intentions, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Cancer Society, can be made through Herold Funeral Home, Box 237, Red Lake ON, P0V 2M0.

Thank you to all the friends who sent food, flowers and donations. A special thank you to the staff at the Red Lake Hospital and for those that assisted with the service and providing the luncheon.
