Grace Kathleen Porsch, 89, died peacefully August 10, 2026 at the Northwood Lodge Long Term Care in Red Lake, Ontario.

Originally from Englehart, Ontario, Grace had lived in Madsen since moving to the district with her husband and four sons in 1964. She was a stay-at-home mother who was dedicated to taking care of her family. She loved gardening and her house in Madsen always drew compliments for how well her yard appeared. She loved cats and was also an avid knitter and crocheter.

Grace was predeceased by her husband Franz, son Richard and her parents George and Lillean. She is survived by sons Henry, Carl and Robert and by brothers Victor, Ron and Thomas.

Her family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Northwood Lodge and Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion.

As per Grace’s wishes, there will be no local service and her ashes will be transferred to the family plot in Englehart at a later date.
