The family of Harold (Papa) Ellis announces his passing on January 20, 2025. Harold is survived by his wife of 73 years Arlyle (Gran), children Jake (Julie), Debby (Bruce), Barb (Ken), Doug (Soma). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brothers Clifford (Reg) and Norm. He was predeceased by his son Brian, daughter Brenda, brothers Ray, Clayte, and Gord.

Harold started his career with Ontario Hydro in 1949 and his job eventually brought him to Ear Falls in 1959. He retired in 1986. They built their cabin on Wenesaga Lake in 1976 and enjoyed many of summers with family and friends at the lake. Dad was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto Blue Jays fan and loved to watch sports on tv.

The family would like to thank the Red Lake Hospital for taking such good care of our Dad (Papa). A special thank you to Dr. Lobb for his kindness and support.

As per Harold's wishes cremation will take place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be sent to the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital Foundation through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
