On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Mr. Hector Benson passed away at the Red Lake Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. He was born December 1, 1937 in Onion Lake, Alberta.

Hector is survived by his loving wife Roseanne Benson, daughter Catherine Nestie (Riley) of Ear Falls, his son Brent Benson of Lloydminister, Alberta, brothers Herman (Babe), Dean, sisters Rema and Fern, sister-in-law Janet and numerous nieces and nephews. We know he will be watching over his prized possessions, his grandchildren Ariana, Carter, Grayson, Rylee Rose, and baby Lorenzo.

Hector was predeceased by his son Terrance, his parents Henry and Delima Benson, siblings Glen, Leonel (Bubbles), Margaret, Maurice, Cora and recently Raymond. Hector lived a full and happy life making friends everywhere and he had a heart of gold.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, March 1st at 2 pm with Father Justin Eze officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
