Irene passed away peacefully after a gradual decline in her health after a fall that required surgery.  She was surrounded and supported by her family during her last few days of her life.  Irene lived in Ear Falls in her own home until her recent accident.

Irene was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Don Armstrong and her son Jim & his wife Tanujia Armstrong. She was also predeceased by her parents Fred & Betty , her brothers Murray, Fred, & Wayne, her sisters Margaret & Roberta & Brother in law Bert Mushumanski, and nephew Sheldon Cook.

She leaves behind her son, Brent & wife Marion, her three precious grand daughters, Jessica & David Plourde of Ear Falls, Megan Armstrong & Aodhan of Ear Falls, Brittany & Brady Kulyk of Sprague Manitoba.  Her three cherished great grandchildren Noah & Liam McCord, & Adelyn Plourde.  Her sister Bonnie & Allan Woodhouse, brother Glenn & Glenda Cook, brother Bobby & Elaine, sister in law Rose Cook, Janet Cook all of Binscarth Manitoba, & numerous nieces & nephews.

She was also predeceased by her good friend Joanne Smith only one day prior.

Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of life will take place in the summer as per her wishes.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital Auxiliary through the Red Lake Funeral Chapel
