He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his daughter April Kakekagumick and her mother Rose, siblings Charles "Timmy" (Dorothy), Claudette (Thomas) Tookata, Audrey, Victoria (Randy Curr), Claude, Laila (Augustine Rae). His partner Janette Meekis, stepchildren Denny, Chelsie, Destiny, Kelsey, Dwight, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren, and brothers-in-law Manius and Calvin. He was predeceased by parents Jake and Leda, sister Dena, and stepson Keifer.

A private visitation and service will be held in Red Lake and North Spirit Lake First Nation.

Burial will take place in North Spirit Lake First Nation Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON.
