Obituary
Jan Siemaszko, 89, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home following a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Helen; his daughter, Ania, son-in-law Christian and one grandchild, Niko.
Born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, he immigrated to Canada in the 1960s and married.
After working at Campbell Mine for 25 years, he retired and travelled extensively.
We would like to thank the staff of Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided during his illness.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 11 am in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Justin Eze officiating.
Interment will follow in the Red Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 16th from 10 – 11 am in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Hospital through the Red Lake Chapel, P.O. Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
