Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jean Robinson (nee Callum) on Monday, January 16th, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her mother Irene (nee Meier) and father Donald Callum. Jean was born August 6, 1951 in Kingston, Ontario. Jean will be most remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother by her family and friends. Her community will be always grateful for her musical abilities which she shared generously for the entire time she lived in Ear Falls as the Christmas Cantata Choir conductor, as well as artistic director of Theatre 105. She often worked in the public school over the years, lending her talent and leadership skills to many musical productions including Christmas concerts as well as providing piano accompaniment at various functions. Her greatest legacy is her many music students who she taught piano, voice, harp, and guitar to for 40 years. She inspired many of them to continue a lifetime of enjoyment of music.
Survived by her loving husband Victor, family and extended family, children Heather (Ryan), and Stephanie (Kevin), grandchildren Oliver and Victoria, brother Bert (Beryl), brother-in-law Richard (Kathy), mother-in-law Fay and many nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank the following individuals for the exemplary care provided to Jean during her illness: Dr. Khan and the staff of the Ear Falls Medical Centre, the medical and nursing staff of the Red Lake Hospital, in particular Marlene Hollis, CCAC and the nursing providers Linda and Leanne.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 1 pm in the Ear Falls Royal Canadian Legion with Keith Graber officiating.

Interment will follow at a later date in the Dryden Cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to Memory In Miles through the Red Lake Funeral Home, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0 or through Giselle Kahoot.
