The Kovachis family is saddened to announce John's death on October 16th at the age of 68 at his home in Madsen, Ontario (Red Lake). John's career as a hard-rock miner took him to several mines across the country. He retired in 2006 after suffering his first stroke. John worked hard and played hard. No one was more surprised that he that he had lived this long. John was very grateful for friends, neighbours and family who enabled him to live on his own when his mobility declined. You know who you are. He couldn't have done it without you.

"EXACTLY!" A word John used often that echoed his agreement.
