Kathy passed away peacefully at the Red Lake Hospital at the age of 71. She was raised in Balmer Lake with her parents. Kathy married her first boyfriend Dennis Zubrecki (predeceased 2019), and had their only child Dylan (predeceased 2006).

She was a very hard worker, first as a property manager at Follansbee Apartments before Dennis and her built their house in Red Lake, then their own janitorial company, Bell's Clean Machine, and then janitorial services for the Municipality of Red Lake.
