Larry was born and raised in Carman, Manitoba and was very close to his grandmother Evelyn Huston. He was the first born son to Louella Booth and brother to Garry and Leslie.
He was briefly in the Air Force at a young age. Loved hunting, fishing, golfing, curling and gardening. Proud of his hole in one during a tournament at the Red Lake Golf Course. Larry was very sociable with many great friends and loved to tell a joke and usually laughing before the punch line.
He worked odd jobs as a painter, worked at the Griffith Mine, and drove truck for Gardewine. But his passion was always carpentry. He started at a young age and became a very talented, knowledgeable and respected carpenter.
He met his wife Marjorie Bray in Red Lake and were married in 1970 and had 4 daughters together and gained two more. He used to tell how had always wanted a football team, but got the cheerleaders. The four Huston girls; Cheryl (Matt), Cindy, Tracy & Lori, and later welcomed Jennifer Osbourne & Kathy (Norm) Ott.
He built his family home in stages as they could afford and continued to add on and make improvements over the years. His beautiful home and garden was his pride and joy. He renovated over ten homes for his daughters and moved them all across Canada over the years.
He was blessed with grandchildren Devin & Kristen Makela, Madison & Makenzie Biedler, Wyatt & Hunter Morais, Jersey & Jorja Jobson, Regis & Jett Parkinson, Emma & Griffin Fletcher, Noah & Ethan Ott.
He loved his family and fought to have them by his side at his last days at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital under covid visiting restrictions. Taken too soon and will never be forgotten.
A private family visitation and service will be held with interment to follow in the Red Lake Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Memory in Miles through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
