Obituary

With love and gratitude for a life well spent, we surrender our dear Leone to join her son Tommy and her brothers and parents. She is survived by her husband Dutchie, daughter Janny, grandsons Liam and Dylan, brother Murray, and many cherished family members.

Leone was born in Alberta in the spring of 1940. Her family moved to Brandon, Manitoba when she was a child, where she was raised as a country girl on their farm. She was an incredibly bright woman who pursued her goal of becoming a teacher. After college she moved to Ear Falls to teach in the public school. It was here that she met her life-time love and partner, Dutchie. While running their business and raising their children, she was an active member of the community through her part time teaching, wide circle of friends and continuous volunteerism. She was known for her small stature, big heart and great convictions.

So very loved, she will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again.

Cremation will take place and a public celebration of life will be held on May 6th from 2 to 4 pm in the Ear Falls Royal Canadian Legion Clubroom.

A life well lived is a precious gift of hope and strength and grace

From someone who has made our world a brighter, better place

It's filled with moments sweet and sad, with smiles and sometimes tears

With friendships formed and good times shared, and laughter through the years

A life well lived is a legacy of joy and pride and pleasure

A living, lasting memory our grateful hearts' will treasure
