Leslie was born in Cochenour, ON. She was raised by her parents Jack and Berta Johnson. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Allen Card, daughters Marilyn and Lynn Card, brothers Brad and Robert Johnson, sister Carol Meilleur as well as her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She moved to Stewart B.C to live with her older sister who introduced her to Doris's younger bother Allen. They fell in "love at first sight". Leslie lived her life to the fullest, and no matter what the circumstances were she always remained in good spirits.

They got married a few months afterwards on her 22nd birthday. shortly after began a family and were blessed with two daughters, Lynn and Marilyn.

As a family they enjoyed camping, fishing and quadding. Leslie Loved watching birds and had many budgies and a cock-teal bird.

Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held
