With great sadness the family announces the passing of Luc Andre Major. Luc worked as an Electrical Journeyman in a variety of mining communities. He settled in Cochenour, ON, working for Placer Dome and later, Goldcorp Red Lake Gold Mine until his retirement 6 years ago. After retiring, Luc continued to work on projects with his own business, Major Consulting.
Luc enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, snowmobiling, quading, cooking and finessing his woodworking hobby out in the garage.
Luc is survived by his wife of 22 years, Beverly (nee Welsh) & sons Andrew (Sari), Alex & Curtis. He is survived by siblings, Claude (Germaine), Andy (Chris), Carmen (Dennis), Mariette (Carl), Gilles (Julie), Nicole (Gerry), and Robert (Judy). Luc will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
Luc is predeceased by his mother Cecile (nee Leduc), father Lionel, brothers Henri & Real, and sister Lise.
A service was held Saturday, November 3rd at 1pm at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Balmertown, ON with Father Cornelius Amaechi officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date in Elliot Lake, ON.
