It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Marty Robert James Buckler on July 31, 2025 at the age of 66.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gina, his beloved sons Devon (Liane), Riley (Haley) along with the two lights of his life, grandsons Helix and Linux. He also leaves behind his loved brothers Faron (Joyce) and Kent. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.

As part of a large extended family, he will be mourned by Gary (Lyne, Randy, Darren (Amy), Lori, Tracy (Mitch), Melissa (Rob), Ryan (Heather), Fathers-in-Law Dave Hisco and Jim (Val) Baker, along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Marty had an extensive career starting in forestry, becoming a pilot and owner/operator of their family bait business, and then returning to forestry most recently with his position at Interfor. Throughout his professions he gathered many friends along the way and always maintained his spark of enthusiasm and curiosity.

Marty was always up for an adventure, whether building forts or chopping wood with his grandsons, going for a round of golf with his boys, or enjoying quiet time on the deck with his wife and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted in his honour to Memory in Miles through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.

A private family service will be held.
