It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful Melanie.
Melanie Dawn Anaka passed away peacefully June 27 2025 at the young age of 50 after a battle with cancer.
A beloved soul who touched many lives.
She will be profoundly missed.
She leaves behind her son and center of her world Kade, parents Rosslyn & Dennis, brother Mark, brother Wayne (Kristin), many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Kade will be in the loving guardianship of his aunt and uncle Mandy & Gary Morgan along with loving support of his grandparents Lovey and Brian Rochon.
A celebration of life was held on June 30th at the Oyama Community Hall in Lake Country. Friends and family gathered to celebrate Melanie, sharing engaging stories and fond memories.
As a teacher, Melanie made an impact on the lives of many of who knew her. Her unconventional and engaging teaching style amused her students, and delighted her peers. Many spoke of her infectious energy and unpretentious demeanor.
She touched many lives in her short time, leaving behind lasting memories of laughter and joy with whomever enjoyed her company.
