Joseph Stanley Paul-Andre Bourassa (Paul)
Peacefully, on June 27, 2025 at Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital, Joseph Stanley Paul-Andre Bourassa, known to all as Paul, passed away at the age of 83 years.
Paul was born in Roulier, Quebec on December 18, 1941. June 27th marked not only his passing but also the 61st anniversary of his marriage to his beloved wife Margaret (Peggy) Bourassa. Paul and Peggy were inseparable throughout their marriage, spending almost every waking hour together, even up to the moment of his peaceful passing.
Paul was a devoted family man who cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He delighted in entertaining them and took great joy in caring for and being part of their lives.
Paul dedicated his working life to the mining industry, working at various local mines and Groveside Dairy before spending the balance of his career at Campbell Mine.
Paul was a passionate sports fan and remained a devoted Montreal Canadiens supporter throughout his life, though his loyalty was severely tested over the past 32 years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Peggy), his daughter Heather, his son Adrian, and six grandchildren: Laura, Conlan, Artcher, Bronwen, Emily, and Grace.
As per his wishes cremation will take place and no service will be held.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Hospital Foundation through the Red Lake Chapel, P.O. Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
