Ray peacefully passed away on July 30, 2023, with his family by his side at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Memorial Hospital.

Ray loved his family.  He is survived by his wife Laura, sons Jerrett and Logan and his brothers Doug, Larry, and Leonard (Marielle). He was pre-deceased by his parents Fernand and Fernande Landry.

Ray was a wonderful husband who loved and cared for his wife Laura. Together they raised 2 sons and with his own hands rebuilt a beautiful home for his family. He was known as a hard worker and a jack of all trades. Every day and opportunity available he took the time to pass on his knowledge and skills with his sons.

He truly loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and foraging for mushrooms.  Hunting season was always a special time for Ray; spent camping with his boys and brothers, telling fabricated stories, reminiscing about past times, and sharing decades of knowledge with the greenhorn hunters.

Ray was many things to many people; if you knew Ray, we know there are stories to be told – share those stories, tell a joke and raise a glass in his memory.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses who showed Ray kindness and respect during his stay in the hospital.

As per his wishes cremation has taken place and private family service will be held.
