In loving memory of Ruth Juliann Chliwny (née Jaworenko) who passed away on January 7, 2014 at the Red Lake Margaret Cochenour Hospital at the age of 82.
She is survived by her brother John (Thelma), son Wilfred of Winnipeg, daughters Donna (Tony) of Renfrew, Margie (Tim) of Balmertown, Susan(Lawrence) grandsons Stephan and Trevor and Patricia of Calgary, granddaughter Kayla (Reid) of The Pas, Manitoba, grandson Curtis (Kelly) of Cochenour and great granddaughter Jordan, granddaughter Tanya of Kanata and great grandsons Jackson and Alexander. She is also survived by her extended family Chuck (Julie) and children Sherri and Tracy, Anna (Don) and children Rodney and Donald, Aileen and daughter Cathy and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by mother Bernice Jaworenko, father Eli Jaworenko, brothers William, Edward and Henry Jaworenko, nephew Edward Jr., husband Nicholas Chliwny and common law Karl Kaminski.
Ruth had a passion for cutting and styling hair and worked until her late 70's before retiring and closing her shop. She loved working with the public and had a great sense of humor for her customers. She enjoyed playing baseball in her younger days and was a great slugger. Her hobbies included cooking, canning, picking berries, bingo, sewing clothes, knitting, crocheting and making sheep wool quilts for all her family members. Playing cards was also one of her favorite past times and traveling to be with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and as per her request no funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at a later date in Arborg, Manitoba. If friends desire donations may be made to Margaret Grand (Chliwny Hair Design Award) for a local hair stylist student through Herold Funeral Home, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
