With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Keesic-Winterton, who completed her journey on April 10, 2026, and returned home to the Creator.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Gerald Winterton and their dog Mario, Her mother Maggie Keesic and her children: Arvelle Kennedy, Tracy (Vito) Winterton, and Wendy (Blake) Winterton, and son-in-law Ray Stoykewich along with numerous grandchildren who brought her great pride and joy. She also leaves behind her siblings: Dean (Maxine) Keesic, Irwin Keesic, Miriam (Andrew) Keesic, Karen (Gordy) Geyshick, and Durrrell (Eleen) Keesic, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, who will forever hold her memory close.

Shirley was predeceased by her father Murray Keesic; her brother Murray Jr. Keesic; her sister, Mona Freeman; and her daughters Beverly Little and Emily Stoykewich.

Shirley will be remembered for her strength, her love for family, and the care she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15th from 6 to 8 pm in the Red Lake Chapel.

A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 16th at 11 am in Grace Community Church with Henry Hosteteler officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery.
