Obituary

Stanley Raymond Williams, 72, of Lac Seul First Nation, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ont.

He was born June 14, 1942 in Lac Seul First Nation to George Williams and Ida Dion (Sapay) and lived all of his life here in Ear Falls, Ontario. Stanley worked in the forestry industry his whole life, he was also a skilled Guide in Fishing, Hunting and Trapping. Most of all, Stanley enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and traveling. Stanley loved fishing with his children when they come home, very much enjoyed hunting

Stanely is survived by his wife Janie Alfred along with his children Candy, Cindy (Scott) Lebarge, Joyce (Mark) Williams, Christina Kennedy, Stephanie Lovelace, Ronald Kennedy, Desiree (Cory) Alfred, Deirdre (Edward) Alfred, Darcie (Jason) Ickes, Miranda Alfred. His sisters Dorothy (Dennis) Wilson, Florence (John Henry) Williams. Numerous nieces, naphews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.

Stanley was predeceased by his father, George Williams, mother, Ida Dion (Sapay),father Armand Dion, brothers Bennie and Ronald Williams, nephew Brandon Williams and Aaron Williams, Grandparents, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Visitation will be  held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 12   - 1 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 in Ear Falls, Ontario. Funeral services followed at 1 p.m. officiated by Theresa Anderson, with interment in Ear Falls Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Chad Wilson and Robert Wilson, Dennis Sharpe, George Smith, Ricky Orwald, and Bruce Covell.

The honourary pallbearers will be the many friends Stanley made throughout his life. Gilbert Williams, Kenny Williams, Andy Williams, Darren (Beastie) Henry, Mikie Williams, Ed White, Cory Morrisseau, Jason Ickes, Keenan Morrisseau, Damian Wilson, Dennis Wilson, John Henry, Michael Williams, David Williams, Leonard Alfred, Jeffery Alfred, Neil Alfred, Wilfred Alfred, Roger Sam, and Larry LaRose
