In loving memory of Ted Dranski who passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Red Lake Margret Cochenour Memorial Hospital.
Ted was born in Frandenburg, Germany. he came to Canada at the age of 8. He came to Canada with his parents Stan and Janina Dranski and brother Bill, where they lived in Starratt-Olsen for many years.
Ted worked as a teenager in the Madsen and Campbell Mine. In the late 60's he became a bartender at the Northland Motel for Judy's parents Bill and Stella Stastook, and what a great bartender he was. THE BEST. He worked many years in the forestry industry for Dryden Paper and Ear Falls Contracting. The last 20 years of his career he was a meatcutter at IGA and Sobey's , where he loved talking to all his old friends.
Ted loved life! and people he was a fun loving person with a great sense of humour, always looking for a laugh. Music was in his sole, his toes were tapping with the music. He was truly a human jukebox, knowing all the lyrics and musical trivia. Dancing was so much fun for Ted, he never missed a beat. Especially for the polka and jive.
He loved the outdoors, enjoying partridge season and was a great provider each year. Ted also loved fishing, especially for trout, landing a 28 pounder one year.
His family was everything to Ted, spending each and every available day with his grandchildren, Tearyn, Taylen and Timea. Whether it be at the cabin or away on holidays. He always wanted them near. So thankful they lived so close.
The cabin on Wenesaga Lake was his dream, where he spent many years of hard work, making it what it is today. For all to enjoy. Ted, Judy , and Kayleen took a few trips to Poland where they loved and enjoyed very much.
Ted will be missed by all his friends in Ajijic, Mexico where he and Judy spent many winters. He was loved by the Mexican friends and he looked forward to seeing them each year.
Ted will be missed by so many, friends and his loving family but we know he is with his beloved grandson Tearyn, son-in-law Trevor, and all loved ones gone before him.
Thank you to all our relatives and friends for the love they gave Ted through the years. We will cherish every golden memory of him. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff for their wonderful care you gave Ted.
