It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vito Peter Pace on August 2, 2026. 

Born in Castelgrande, Italy, Vito was a skilled carpenter who worked alongside his father and brothers, helping build much of the community we all proudly called home. He took great pride in his work and the legacy he left behind. 

Vito loved fishing, woodworking, and never met a stranger. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went, and his kindness, generosity, and warm smile will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. 

Vito will be forever loved and deeply missed by his devoted wife, Tracy Winterton. 

He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Vittoria Spinelli, Peppi (Karen) Pace, Catherine (Dana) Robbins, Gerardo (Michelle) Pace, Claudia Pace, Wendy (Blake) Winterton, and Stacy (Michael) Carahidi. 

He will also be sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Scholonkowsky; his fathers-in-law, Gerald Winterton and John Scholonkowsky; his brothers-in-law, Ray Stoykewich and Kenny Kettle; and his many nieces and nephews. 

Vito was predeceased by his father, Pasquale Pace; his mother, Maria Giovanni Pace; his brother, Vito Pace; his brother-in-law, Peter Spinelli; and his sister-in-law, Emily Stoykewich. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 6, 2026  from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Red Lake Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026  at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Red Lake with Father Justin Eze officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Lake Cemetery.
