William Desmeules age 63 years, a life-long resident of Red Lake passed away after a courageous battle on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022.

William was born in Port Arthur, ON on August 22, 1958. He grew up in Red Lake and remained a long-time resident. He loved his hometown.

William will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings Dan of Thunder Bay, ON, Bob (Pat) of Kaslo B.C., Madge (Andy) of Red Lake, ON, Bruce of Red Lake, ON, Patti (Simon) of Thunder Bay, ON, Ronnie, Jackie (Ed) of Azilda, ON, Alice (Willy) of St. Catharines, ON, Nancy special sister-in-law of Birch Hill, N.S., numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and thousands of friends.

He was predeceased by his twin brother Brian, and his parents Jack and Marjory Desmeules.

As anyone who knew Willy knows he was a loving, caring, giving, generous individual who gave and loved with his whole heart.

His interests included his great ability at building, fishing, reading, travelling, gardening, cooking, his family and friends. He was also the official taster for Budweiser.

Cremation will take place and a graveside service and celebration of William's life will take place at a later date in Red Lake.
