Obituary

It is with great sadness William "Jay" Friesen passed away on January 27th, 2022, at the age of 67years old at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Jay fought a hard battle between cancer and heart failure.

Jay leaves behind his loving partner of 17 years Judy, 2 sons, Dylan and Dallas, brother Roy (Jackie) Friesen, sister Sherry (Ian) MacGregor, sister Bonnie (Dan) Nash.

Jay was born July 12 th , 1954 in the Red Lake Hospital to his parents the late Geraldine "Gerry" Friesen and Gordon "Rocky" Friesen.

Jay ended up working at Campbell Mine. He decided to go to Sault Ste Marie College to get his Plumbing &Heating diploma through the Mine's help some years down the road.  Jay's career took off like wildfire and kept him there for 40 sum years. He was at Musselwhite in between mines.Jay was a good worker and he even built a house. Those plumbing and heating skills came in handy. The one big love in Jay's life the most was going for his motorcycle rides. Also, every year his best friends Bobby Aiken and Mel Smith would go hunting. They were like the three Stooge's. I leave that up to you to figure out which was which. They're hunting family grew over the years.

As per Jay's wishes cremation has taken place and no funeral will be held.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
