IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wilton Alphonse
Desserre
January 17, 1937 – October 3, 2022
At a well lived age of 85. Dad will be deeply missed by his 3 children, Zane, Myles and Celeste, 14 grandchildren we gave them with now many great grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Had many belly laughs with them and favored baby cuddles. He is also survived by his siblings Howard, Valbert, and Elwood.
He is with his beautiful wife Deanna Frances who passed away 6 years prior (2016). Mom made sure he knew how to cook, clean house and look after himself before she went home to Jesus. She knew she would go to Heaven first. He was also predeceased by his parents Sophie and Alphonse, siblings Garry, Phyllis and Alvena.
Dad retired form mining bush work at age 65 and they were able to enjoy some traveling through Canada, visiting Celeste and family on the west coast.
Dad was a simple man, puttering at home, roaming around town at 20 km an hour just to look around. His favorite was scaring geese at the beach, driving dirt roads for a small hunt. Partridge or 2 for himself and mom.
Dad and Mom suffered losses of brothers and sisters, yet their biggest heartache was losing their first-born baby boy Hector at full term. They also lost their last son in 1965 when mom suffered a stroke. Next was the pain of watching their son Myles lose their first born to crib death. Babies are innocent and we all mourned the losses always. My daughter Jasmine (Nino) (Celeste) unfortunately lost their second beautiful daughter Cadence at only 5 ½ months. Together we healed and together we gathered.
A funeral service will be held at the Ear Falls Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, October 7 th at 1 pm. A public viewing will be held one hour prior from 12 noon to 1 pm in The Ear Falls Legion. Interment will follow in the Ear Falls Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Memory In Miles through the Red Lake Chapel, Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
