Obituary

Yvette was born in North Bay Ontario to Marius Cholette and Eva (née Aubry). She is survived by one sister, Thérèse Paiement of Sturgeon Falls and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six siblings - Marcel (stillborn) Nelson, Alfred, Bertha Forestell, Marguerite (Sister St. Marius du Sauveur ASV) and Anita Dubuc. As a young teacher, Yvette moved to Red Lake where she taught school, had her only son Clyde, married the town mayor Ken McLeod and spent the rest of her life by the lake in the town she loved. Yvette was fond of animals. The family is grateful to her longtime friend Bertha Roche who cared for Yvette in her later years and to Diane Piller who gave us news of Yvette when Yvette no longer could.

Cremation will take place and as per Yvette's wishes no funeral service will be held. A private interment will be held at a later date in the Red Lake Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to The Humane Society through Herold Funeral Home, P.O. Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
